The $49 covers the service call. The tire itself is quoted separately: nearby providers send offers for a tire that fits your size, you review the offers, and you choose the one you want before anyone is paid. There is no single hidden tire price, because tire cost depends on your size, availability, and what local suppliers have on hand.
Once you accept an offer, your provider picks up the tire, brings it to your location, mounts it, torques the wheel, and sets the pressure — all where the vehicle already sits.
When this isn't the right service: If the puncture is in the tread and the tire is otherwise sound, a $49 tire repair is cheaper. If you have a usable spare, book a tire change instead.
